update:
accident was on the carpool lane. our bus had to slowly move out of the carpool so all the passengers got a good look at the scene. looked like a motorcycle guy had his last ride this morning. actually saw the dead body covered with yellow tarp. chp was all over the place. looked like a bus hit him. saw the bus driver sobbing at the side. so sad....
