f4 L-series Ultrawide, Speedlite 580 mounted on a Stroboframe flash
bracket. I shot at 1/60 sec @ f5.6 ISO 100, WB on auto. didn't have a
gray card handy. Flash was set it -2/3.

dang! the newly opened lane is so close to the rail road tracks with a
freakingly low dividing wall! can't imagine the potential disaster
that can occur if a train derails or a car jumps into the tracks @ 80
mph (Angelenos' freeway average cruising speed).

on the Foothill Transit Silver Streak eastbound bus. an unusually
looong bus. it's looks like a caterpillar and is basically 2 buses
connected together with a rubber accordion looking contraption in the
middle. functional and a pretty effiient people mover.

finally decided (bravely) to upgrade to Ubuntu 9.10 I actually have
more confidence with Ubuntu 9.10 than Windows 7.

dusk @ the disney concert hall

actually a very nice touristy spot to wait for my bus. I don't see any
more tourist around, it's a good idea not to stay out when darkness
falls in LA. unlike NY, the LA downtown area is a ghost town in the
evening. you have to drive several blocks to LA Live for some after
work fun at the Staples Center or Nokia.... all is well on a Tuesday
evening. let's all hope it stays that way.

crashing tuesday.

a pickup truck crashed into our bus while passengers were boarding
from the bus stop. just as boarding started at 6:20am, there was a
loud crashing sound that everyone heard coming from the opposite lane.

a pickup truck was taking out a wooden fence, parts and splinters of
the fence was flying all over the place, just like a Hollywood movie.
the truck then jumped across lanes, hopped the island divider and hit
the back of the bus.

people actually started taking cover behind the bus for protection
when the truck jumped the divider and started going towards us. the
driver did not even break, there was no screeching o tires or tire
marks on the road. no one gor hurt.

from my assessment it seems like the driver fell asleep. upon closer
observation of his truck, it looked like we was construction worker
(yellow helmet, orange vest, tool belt..etc) maybe just coming home
from a night shift.

lesson learned, always always be aware of your surroundings when on
the street, specially when with kids. what a morning.

halloween 2009

the crowd gathered at the annual Claremont Village Halloween
Festival. this is at the Depot where they have live animal shows and
fun games for the kiddos...

long lost twin...

i was walking to my daily driver and I had to stop and look... I knew
my car was dirty, but dang the other car matched my car. identical
down to the last dirt.

found in my office, it is the most important section of my whole
operation. most people would have one. I wouldn't be here if not for
the people who appear on my wall.

there have been days beyond patience, there have been days beyond
tolerance but it seems the wall has super powers that has the ability
to pull you down back to earth. reminds you of who you are and why you
do this everyday. for a few lucky individuals like myself, my hobby is
my job. I'm blessed to love what I do for a living, and the drive to
be good at it is bordering on obsession.

keeping it simple, keeping it pure, giving you drive, giving you
peace, contentment, blessing and keeps you in your place. this is the
reason, this is my wall. who's on your wall?

a sweet ride home.

blessings come in abundance when your heart, life & soul is in line
with God's will... everything falls in place when you walk His path.

yes, I am not ashamed. I am a fan even after he went alien on us. you
have to admit and recognize talent he shared to the world. I always have respect with artists who dedicate their lives to the perfection of their craft. perfection, not for the taste or liking of others, or not for money - but to the absolute realization of their dreams and visions. a completed satisfaction and contentment of ones self.

the German Team's BMW 320i at the World Touring Car Championship. BMW
has won 3 years in row - 2005, 2006 & 2007. Unfortunately, they lost
to SEAT (a Spanish Auto Maker owned by the German Volkswagen Group) in
2008. Hopefully, we can win the 2009 crown.
